Starlight Model School was conceptualized as an international institution of model by the Chairman, Mr Musa Ganiyu Olasunkanmi, who is ably supported by Mrs Musa Nneka, the administrator for raising total children on the tripod of Moral, Value and Excellence. This concept became institutionalized and birthed in 2019 with 21 pupils when the school began operation.
We are located at Ogijo, a serene environment, conducive for learning and well equipped with state of the art facilities for the development of our pupils. The school runs on the principles of professionalism and high moral standard for our Crèche, Nursery and Basic classes. Starlight is a circular school, committed to developing physical, emotional, social and intellectual quotients of our pupils to their pride of leadership place in all facet of human endeavours.
At Starlight International Nursery and Primary School, we keep standard pupil-tutor ratio for efficiency and productive service delivery and run a systematically structured termly calendar activities anchored on set tasks and targets for actualization. Moreso, our assessment includes but not limited to project work, classwork, test, assignment, note and attendance and termly examinations.
It is our mandate to imbibe moral values and quest for excellence in our pupils under the guidance of qualified, trained and dedicated staff ad regular interface with the parents/home to build a working synergy. We value discipline as being the bedrock of excellence in both academic and other facets of life. Hence, we frown at any indiscipline and punish accordingly. In the same vein, we appreciate and celebrate good conducts.
Our facilities and programmes cater for a wide range of activities, which are grouped as cognitive, psycho-motor, behavioural and co-curricular activities such as quiz competitions, Spelling Bee, talent hunt, sporting activities, press and debating society, Mathematics Scholars, tourist visits, cultural day celebration, etc.
